World Brachytherapy Awareness Day

On 17 July 2026, brachytherapy societies from around the world will come together to celebrate and promote World Brachytherapy Awareness Day. 

This initiative provides an opportunity to raise awareness of brachytherapy, showcase the excellent work being undertaken across Australia and New Zealand, and highlight the benefits of brachytherapy for patients and healthcare professionals alike. 

 We encourage all members to get involved by: 

• Taking a team photo with your brachytherapy colleagues, equipment, or treatment  facilities 
• Adding your photos to our World Brachytherapy Awareness Day Canva template - https://canva.link/y3vlhn1vosy48an 
•  Sharing a short story, interesting case, service achievement, or insight into your  brachytherapy program. 
•  Promoting World Brachytherapy Awareness Day through your institution's social  media channels (where permitted). 
•  Sharing photos and information internally within your department to help raise  awareness amongst colleagues.
