Welcome Message
The Australasian Brachytherapy Group aims to promote all aspects of Brachytherapy for the benefit of the community, and to develop, promote and maintain the highest standards of Brachytherapy practice and ethics.
Our annual scientific meeting, held in April, is the highlight of our year where we promote the exchange of scientific information in Brachytherapy and the associated disciplines of Radiation Physics and Radiobiology.
We hope to promote a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care and through our meeting to disseminate the results of new treatment techniques and scientific research. The meetings benefit from the wisdom of invited overseas guest speakers as well as a strong input from Australian and New Zealand speakers.
It was great to see so many new as well as familiar faces at our Melbourne meeting in April, with a highlight being the Medical Physics Registrar teaching course which attracted more than 35 registrars, held in parallel sessions.
Your ABG committee looks forward to seeing you at our next meeting when we travel to Perth in April 2011.
